THE TEMPTATION OF JESUS?

"Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil. After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. The tempter came to him and said, "If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread." Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.' "
Matthew 4:1-4

"Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. "If you are the Son of God," he said, "throw yourself down. For it is written: "He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.'" Jesus answered him, "It is also written: 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test.' "
Matthew 4:5-7

"Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splender. "All this I will give you," he said, if you will bow down and worship me." Jesus said to him,"Away from me, Satan! For it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.' " The devil left him, and angels came and attended him."
Matthew 4:8-11

See how Jesus used the Word of God to thwart the devil's plan to lead him away from his purpose. The Word of God is extremely powerful and can be used in many situations. The enemy is not concerned with our wealth status, our education, or humanistic power. He is scared to death of God's Word. This is our only weapon against him. We must learn to use it and use it often to fight against the spiritual forces that seek to destroy us.
Father God, thank You for Your Word and the blessings it gives us. The power over the 'enemy' who comes only to kill, steal, and destroy us. Help me Lord God Yahweh to learn how to use Your word efectively to win the battle against the one who would like to destroy us. Thank You Father God, in the name of Jesus, Yeshua, our King and Savior. I pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Amein.
