Scripture For Today 1 John 4:16-17

"And so we know and rely on the love God has for us." "God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. In this way love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgement, because in this world we are like Him."

PRAYER FOR LOVE

Lord God, You are love, help me to be more loving to the people around me and even to people I dont know. Please put it in my spirit to have the kind of love that it takes to help others know You. To be a better example of what a true follower of Jesus is. To show the world that You are a God of love and grace. Put it in my spirit to love others the same way you love us and in return I will be loved by others. Thank You Lord, in Jesus name, by the power of the Holy Spirit, according to Your Word, Amen

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY 1 John 5:13-15

"I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. This is the confidence we have in approaching God; that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us---whatever we ask---we know that we have what we ask of Him". 

PRAYER FOR APPROACHING GOD

Lord God, You are my creator. You made me in Your image according to Your Word.  I believe what You say in Your word is true. Now I come to You in prayer knowing that You hear me and that You love me and only want the best for me as a father wants for his children. Thank You Lord God for loving me and caring for me. My requests are simple and are in line with Your Word and I know that You will consider what I ask for in Jesus name according to Your word. Lord, what I want is wisdom, joy, peace of mind, forgiveness, love, freedom from lack, prosperity, and health to enjoy the life You"ve given me. Power to overcome addiction, and the opportunity to help others know You, and ecspecially a place in Your kingdom. Thank You for hearing my prayer and being my God and Father in Jesus name, according to your Word ,Amen.

SPECIAL PRAYER FOR HEALING AND RECOVERY

Lord God of heaven, Thank You for hearing our prayers and blesssing us with your underserved kindness. Lord, today I ask that You help the mother of my best friend to recover quickly and fully from the surgery she will undergo today. We lift her up to You now Lord and ask that you remove all fear and uncertainty from her heart and mind and that she be made whole and happy and full of joy. We ask that You bring her closer to You and let her feel Your love and healing power. Thank You Lord, In Jesus name, by the power of the Holy Spirit, according to your word, Amen.

"I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes Him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life".

Prayer for confession of sins

Lord God of Heaven, I confess all the wrong things I"ve done in the past and all the things I may do in the future. I know I am a sinner Lord and I need Your mercy and grace for my salvation. I know I was born in sin and that Jesus came to deliver me from all unrighteousness. Thank You, Lord, for forgiving me and setting me free from the guilt of sin. Help me to not do the things I know to be wrong. You know me Lord, You know my weaknesses and my strengths. Help me to be strong and resist the temptations that stumble me. Thank You Lord, for forgiving me, In Jesus name, By the power of the Holy Ghost, make it so, amen.
