O.K. Let's face it, money is a nessessary thing. It's better to have alot of it than not enough of it, right? So how can we make it happen? As beleivers and followers of Jesus what can we do to create enough so that we have some to give? Hear is the simple answer; 'give first'! Be a giver! Set aside enough each week or month to equal 10% and give it to where you are being fed the 'Word'. Give to worthy charities, give to people in need, just give! When we let go of what's in our hands, God will let go of what's in His hand and I'd much rather have what is in God's hand than the little that's in mine.
Malachi 3:6-12 says this: "I the LORD do not change. So you, O decendants of Jacob, are not destroyed. Ever since the time of your forefathers you have turned away from my decrees and have not kept them. Return to me and I will return to you," says the LORD Almighty.
"But you ask, How are we to return?' Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me. "But you ask, how do we rob you?" "In tithes and offerings. You are under a curse----the whole nation of you-----because you are robbing me. Bring the whole tithe into the store house, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it. I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not cast their fruit," says the LORD Almighty. "Then the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land," Says the LORD Almighty.
This holds true today for every follower of Jesus and even those non-believers that practice giving because God is "no respecter of persons." He will keep His Word. I know this because I have seen results in my own finances when I give consistantly and faithfully and 'cheerfully' because God loves a cheerful giver. Now here's what people need to do; Ask God in prayer to give you peace, freedom, joy, prosperity, abundance, security and plenty so you will have even more to give back. Money is really a bi-product of these non-material things.
Now there is no money in heaven, money is an earthly thing so the way God will bless us is showing us where the money is here on earth. He will put an IDEA in your head and then you must be a doer and do the Idea. He will lead you to where the money is. We are His kids, He does not want us to be broke and barely getting by with nothing extra. He wants to prosper us so we can be a light to the world, and a demonstration of His kingdom on earth. JUST DO IT! Start today! Giving is the key! God cannot lie. Believe God for the blessings He wants you to have.!
